Letizia gave me your email address because I told her that I wish to
congratulate you on having such a wonderful place in El Convento. I and
two friends are presently staying there and we are very, very happy for
such a wonderful, quiet, clean, reflective place here in Samara.

My name is Lynda Browning. I am a retired Catholic teacher from Canada.
I have been in Costa Rica since December 1st. I came here to escape the
cold winter in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan where I live in Canada. In
December while on a walk in Samara, my travel companion and I came across
El Convento. We went in and looked around and absolutely loved the place,
especially the fact that it is so Christian in its ambiance and
orientation. We decided at that time to return one day. So, we came here
on February 20th and will be here until February 27th. I want to tell you
how happy we are here. A third person has joined us and she too loves El
Convento.

My specialty is Religious Education, in Catholic schools. I have done
many personal retreats and I see in your place, El Convento, much
potential for religious retreats, seminars and sabbaticals. I will
certainly encourage my pastor and my many priest and nun friends to
consider coming here for a retreat. It is so quiet and restful and
contemplative here. The church is so close. That makes it perfect for
large groups to gather and celebrate the Eucharist together. Oh how I
would love to facilitate a retreat at your centre.

I would also like to return one day for a longer period of time. I would
be interested in knowing how much a month would cost.

I thank you for being inspired to build such a wonderful place. I shall
pray for its continued success.
